Quick to make an opinion. Quick to build barriers. Quick to protest. Quick to say someone is different. It may take a long time to do the things to make forward progress. Trust takes time to buy another’s product or service. Relationships take time. Achieving goals takes time. Where is the speed? We can change quickly when we allow ourselves to be open, in just 0.02 seconds, some researchers say, to be attracted to a person or to a non-person object. We need to pivot quickly from the entrenchment to get closer to the good. “While we read another’s energy in 0.02 seconds, leaders foster long-term connections to build valuable relationships.” ~ Joe Dutkiewicz
